Firefly is a band formed by San Diego area vocalist, Shelli Frances. As a young musician in Central California, Shelli's influences were mostly rock, pop, & country. Over the years she expanded her musical tastes and vocal range and ventured into R & B, some jazz & blues, disco & dance music and cultivated a reputation of being one of the most versatile female vocalists, both onstage and in the recording studio, in the San Diego area and beyond, performing nationally and internationally. Shelli has recorded in various California studios, in Nashville at Curb Studios, and has performed in most of the major area hotels and casino show rooms, convention venues and nightclubs with many S.D. area variety/dance bands for corporate events, private parties, nightclubs and the like. The other members of Firefly are exceptionally versatile and talented musicians who have worked with some of the best-of-the-best in the music business. With Keith Boone on Bass, Chris James on Guitars and vocals, Chris Beall on drums, and Ethan Brown on Keyboards and vocals, Firefly performs a fun, energetic mix of classic and contemporary rock, pop, and rock edged dance music with their OWN signature style that will appeal to a wide range of ages and musical tastes…playing those familiar “OH! I LOVE this song!!!” tunes that the young, and young-at-heart alike, will enjoy…

…I LOVE FIREFLY!!! The group dynamics are AMAZING, you can easily see that they all love what they are doing and enjoy doing it together. Each member’s personality shines on its own and draws you in, while at the same time each one fits together to create this amazing energy. Firefly keeps it real and makes you feel like you are part of the show, and you are always left wanting another encore. Firefly, to me, has everything you could ask for in a band; energy, killer vocals, creative arrangements, artist level entertainment... and so much more! FIREFLY recently placed in the top 8 of 40 bands competing in the 2009 Viejas Ultimate Music Challenge! They have performed at Valley View, Pala, Pechanga, & Viejas Casinos, as well as for The 2008 San Diego Fire Expo at Qualcomm Stadium, and various other corporate and private events in the San Diego area.
