About Us

Firefly is a band formed by San Diego area vocalist, Shelli Frances. As a young musician in Central California, Shelli's influences were mostly rock, pop, & country.

Over the years she expanded her musical tastes and vocal range and ventured into R & B, some jazz & blues, disco & dance music and cultivated a reputation of being one of the most versatile female vocalists, both onstage and in the recording studio, in the San Diego area and beyond, performing nationally and internationally. Shelli has recorded in various California studios, in Nashville at Curb Studios, and has performed in most of the major San Diego area hotels and casino show rooms, convention venues and nightclubs.

Never one to settle for anything less than excellence, Shelli recruited top notch local musicians in: Chris Beall (Drums) Keith Boone (Bass) Ethan Brown (Keyboard) and Chris James (Guitar).  This group of road traveled studio pros bring the highest level of musicianship to an already stellar lead vocal, for a performance that can be enjoyed in an intimate area, to a full concert stage.

FIREFLY performed in the City Of Dana Point's Heritage Park Summer Concert Series in July 2010 and recently placed in the top 7 of 40 bands competing in the 2009 Viejas Ultimate Music Challenge! They have performed at Valley View, Pala, Pechanga, & Viejas Casinos, as well as for The 2008 San Diego Fire Expo at Qualcomm Stadium, and various other corporate and private events in the San Diego and Orange County areas.
